New plant for Unistrut!
The UK central premises will reflect Unistruts status as a leading Mechanical and Electrical supplier.
Unistrut has commenced its move from several UK sites to a central location in the midlands. The new manufacturing and head office facility reflects the growing presence of Unistrut. This expansion is driven by increased demand from business customers throughout the region.
Unistrut have made this multi million investment in order to cope with the high levels of demand and expand the Electrical Market share. The company has recently made investments into the Projects Market and figures show that it is paying off. With the majority of Project work involved in Electrical products, Unistrut understand the need to expand to maintain good customer relations.
The new Midlands site will be a massive 135,000sq ft production, warehousing and office space. Unistruts new site will service the EMEA Electrical Markets. The new location will massively reduced the transportation of these goods and greatly improve customer satisfaction. Unistrut Specials Service, Debro, will have the long awaited room to expand into the Metal Framing & Supports Market, as well as continuing to service the Fire Protection Market.
The purpose of the move is to produce an efficient business and adhere to customer and employee requirements. As the company grows it will continue to invest in infrastructure, people, service and product. The initial stage of the 18 month project involves the installation of the new bespoke tooling for the Cable Tray and Cable Ladder side rail rolling mills. New double headed presses designed in-house will be used in conjunction with newly commissioned machinery.
The new site is designed to meet to the latest Health and Safety legislation and represents a significant improvement to working conditions, with better layouts and flow of production procedures. Office's have been designed and newly built on site to service the manufacturing plant. They will be fitted out with state of the art technology, which will be used to service the group. This is a site designed to show case Unistruts professional standards and investment into customer requirements.

Processes have been streamlined with ergonomically designed packing stations and loading bays that consider product requirements. Planning in advance of loading product has been tested out with allocated space for product preparation for dispatch.
The New Electrical manufacturing site will bulk ship direct to
reduce the use of warehousing.
