The Agip project commenced production in January 2006 and is the first project Unistrut has won since re entering this market area.
The Kashagan Field Development - Experimental programme is part of a long-term development programme to exploit oil and gas reserves in the Caspian Sea. The Kashagan East field is located in the Caspian Sea offshore Kazakhstan, approximately 80km south of the town of Atyrau. The development will comprise a combination of both offshore and onshore processing facilities. Unistrut have been successful and have the contract for supply of ‘initial quantities’ of Cable Ladder and Tray. The project includes offshore oil production facilities of maximum capacity 450,000 barrels of oil per day.
All the galvanised Cable Ladder and Cable Tray supplied are for on shore applications. The products are manufactured from weathering steel in order to extend product life and attract a deep galvanised protective coating.
The project has been very successful and the valuable experience gained on this project has provided Unistrut with a sound platform for all future projects.
